IADT Skate Society Room

Being the first day of Spring in casa Gav’s, our valid hopes that the winter months of soggy clothes and skin peeling wind were surely behind us now, we awoke in eye rubbing disbelief to snow showers covering nearly everything in sight. With the feeling the day was over before it had even started we finished up our fry ups, tucked our shirts in and braced ourselves for the impending cold. We met up with the lads and made our way to a place referred to as “the room”. I wasn’t sure what to expect when we arrived there but was just happy we had somewhere to skate. With Phili rolling up in his van and his homemade ledge on hand the session was in full swing. Mini ramp, kickers, ledges, manual pads, rails, you where spoilt for choice on things to get creative on. With things being so easy to move around and everyone constantly killing it, we got down to shooting some photos.

Darragh Forrester

Check out Darragh Forrester’s street footy from the last few months skating around Dublin and Barcelona.

Gav Coughlan – Hardflip

I taught Gav how to do hardflips back in 2004. He will never admit to this. I don’t care because he’s still doing them in 2015. No thanks necessary Gav.

Gav Coughlan – Switch Flip

On a most cold and bitter day in Dublin. We all battled around town searching for something to skate. Good old Herbert Park stepped up to provide us with some solace from the biting elements. Gav laid down this switch flip amongst many other fine Dublin lads, all throwing it down even in the bitter January temperatures!

Darragh Forrester in Barcelona

A short edit of Johnny’s Skateshop rider Darragh Forrester skating in Barcelona.

Gav Coughlan – Fakie Stalefish

A rained out Dublin city led us to a dry Wreckless Indoor Skatepark in Gorey where serious manoeuvres where being performed on the mini ramp by all the lads, this was one of the many.
